Chalk Art and Mormon Missionaries in Russia!

After struggling for six weeks to find investigators in Moscow, Russia, Elder Jace Warren and his companion (Elder Paul Gallo), had a rather colorful idea.

Using chalk from a local market, Elder Warren and Elder Gallo illustrated scenes from the Book of Mormon, the Plan of Salvation, and Joseph Smith’s First Vision on the very streets of Moscow.

“[Elder] Warren said during one drawing session, he and his companion gave away 40 copies of the Book of Mormon in three hours” (Source: Standard Examiner).

  1. We did this all the time in Spain. We eventually had to switch to buying huge rolls of paper, to avoid run-ins with the police. I still have one of those drawings. :-)
