Marriage Isn't For You

  1. I am now widowed after 30 years of marriage. I do understand what Seth’s dad advice was to him meant then and now. And we both lived this through all our ups and downs, and believe me there were many. We made it through buying a home, job losses, rearing 3 daughters, graduations, marrying two of our three daughters to two men who loved our daughters as we did and 7 grandchildren. After my husband passed away, looking back to the day of our wedding I realized that as we were saying our vows, I at the time did not realize the part of the vows meant or even phantom that this could actually come true and mean “Until death do us part” could actually happened. This part of the vows I guess I just didn’t want to face then or now. I do want to say, as Seth’s father put it, “Marriage is and always will be to make the other person or persons’ happy, not just for you, but also live your life for each other through Christ as if there is no tomorrow, because you may never know if there will be one.
Loved your message, Forever in Christ, Bev
