Here is our wedding announcement!
Kim and I both wanted something different. We wanted something to help tell our story because whenever people would ask us, “How did you meet?” or “How long have you been dating?” we would give each other sideways glances and smile.
A decade long story is sometimes hard to explain. :)
So we had this info-graphic made by the talented artist and graphic designer Ashley A. Smith, a good friend of mine. Bias aside, I believe that this is the best wedding announcement ever made! But what do you think about it? Please leave your comments and share this with others!
28/04/2012 UPDATE:
After we had sent this out, my brother Sean and my sister-in-law Ariel told us that we had left something out. Puzzled, we asked what and they replied, “Your destination.”
Kim and I were married in the Bountiful, Utah Temple on 7 April, 2012. It’s interesting to think that after over ten years of friendship, romance and traveling, Kim and I eventually found ourselves back home and we were married not only for time, but also for eternity.

All the way around the world and back again, right back to where you belong, with each other. What a great way to share your story! Love it!
Amazing! :) Congrats!
Speaking as a graphic designer, this is a kick-ass wedding announcement. :)

Why thank you! We were made for each other, really. :)
So cute!! I loved it, loved the way that you were together but kept leaving each other and in the end you both found your way back to each other!!

I was hoping to see you in the line, MoSop. ;) No matter, I'm sure that our paths will cross someday. I hope that all is well!
This is so darling! Everyone always asks "How did you meet?" I LOVE the idea of telling the couple's story on the wedding announcement, and this is such a GREAT story worth telling and celebrating. :) You two were destined for each other Seth – but all on the Lord's timetable. I'm excited for you. I'm hoping I can pop in to say congrats in person next week. – MoSop
Sometimes life is complicated, and explaining it can be hard. You did a great job with this. I think my husband and I would need five times as many arrows, so we keep our answers simple with all but our best friends. I am glad you found such and innovative, and cute but not cutsy way of sharing you story.
That was actually really touching. Love the final line! :) Congratulations!
Thank you for all of your complimentary comments, everyone! :D

Thank you for sharing this most unique time frame and announcement. It's not for everyone but it apparently suits you two. Congratulations.

It is really cute, I like the way it tells the story. My daughter is a graphic designer in Ceder City, Ut. and does a ton of weddings, she would like this! ;)
